BetVictor Canada has officially launched its responsible gambling campaign, featuring former Toronto Raptors star and NBA Hall-of-Famer Tracy McGrady. Appointed as the brand’s Safer Gambling Ambassador last October, McGrady now spearheads efforts to promote responsible play across Ontario.
The campaign leverages mobile digital trucks near Scotiabank Arena and Rogers Centre, ensuring high visibility during Raptors, Maple Leafs, and Blue Jays home games. Additionally, BetVictor has partnered with Clear Media Group to display key messaging on 100 taxis throughout Toronto, reinforcing its commitment to safer gambling.
Coinciding with Problem Gambling Awareness Month, the initiative aligns with the National Council on Problem Gambling’s efforts to highlight prevention, treatment, and recovery services. BetVictor Group’s Head of Emerging Markets, Mark Harper, emphasized the company’s dedication to player safety, highlighting tools such as loss limits and time alerts.
McGrady, known for his impactful Raptors tenure alongside Vince Carter, expressed enthusiasm for promoting safer gambling in Canada. Given Ontario’s strict regulations on celebrity endorsements in gambling, BetVictor’s use of McGrady strictly focuses on responsible gaming advocacy.
